IRMA (Information and Resources Centre for Current Music) is a an organization sanctioned by France's Ministry of Culture and Communication. For over 20 years, IRMA has been focused on referencing all music professionals in France, comprising 50,000 contacts. A 4D-based client/server application helps IRMA track all of the resources necessary to organize musical events, convene groups, facilitate financing, record music, and keep audiences up to date. An extranet allows the network of IRMA correspondents to develop content, and a second Web tool provides a subscription-based site with access to applications using its wealth of music data.
